Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani on Saturday tweeted notice to Robert Mueller about when President Trump’s team would consider the special counsel’s investigation a “fair” one.

“Just a few days before 60 day run-up to 2018 elections,” Giuliani tweeted. “If Mueller wants to show he’s not partisan, then issue a report on collusion and obstruction. They will show President Trump did nothing wrong. Then we will have to admit you were fair. And we will.”

Giuliani’s challenge comes as President Trump and others accuse Democrats of using the Mueller investigation as a way to “meddle” in the mid-term elections. The president also weighed in Saturday, hammering Jeff Sessions again and accusing Mueller “and his gang of 17 Angry Dems” of “having a field day” as the Clinton email scandal “goes untouched.”

“Jeff Sessions said he wouldn’t allow politics to influence him only because he doesn’t understand what is happening underneath his command position,” tweeted Trump. “Highly conflicted Bob Mueller and his gang of 17 Angry Dems are having a field day as real corruption goes untouched. No Collusion!”
