U.S. Senate candidate Mike Braun said he’s the “real recruit” President Donald Trump needs to push his political agenda forward, on “Fox & Friends” Friday.

“I started with 2 percent in the primary and ended up beating two great conservatives, both of whom are working for me and their people with me,” Braun, a former congressman, said. (RELATED: Pollster Claims If You Want To Win The Midterms You Better Go Hug Trump)

“So, I know how to get things done. The style is less important than the results.”

Braun said his Democratic opponent Sen. Joe Donnelly will only vote with the left-most faction of the Senate and refuses to reach across the aisle to work with Trump and other Republicans.

“Joe Donnelly will only vote with the president if Chuck Schumer lets him,” Braun said. “And on no important legislation has he been with the president.”

Braun said Trump needs more like-minded supporters in Congress who share his views and claimed he’s the perfect person to help carry out the president’s agenda, that is, to help make America great again.

“You heard the president loud and clear last night,” he concluded. “[Trump] needs a real recruit like me that’s going to be for the agenda of making America great again and getting these problems solved that have been around for a long time.”
