CNN and MSNBC covered just a few minutes of President Trump’s speech in North Dakota on Friday, despite covering the entirety of former president Barack Obama’s hour-long speech earlier in the day.

President Obama spoke in Illinois for just over an hour on Friday afternoon and attacked Trump left and right, hitting the sitting president on how he treats the media, Russian election meddling, and more. CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News all covered the entirety of Obama’s speech.

Just a few hours later, President Trump took the stage in North Dakota to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Kevin Cramer.

According to TV clipping service Grabien, Fox News dedicated over 25 minutes to Trump’s speech before cutting away to cover other stories.

However, CNN managed to give Trump just 5 minutes of coverage — less than ten percent of the coverage they gave to Obama.

MSNBC covered Trump for just under 10 minutes before cutting elsewhere.

Both CNN and MSNBC found time to play flashbacks of Obama’s speech at the same time Trump was speaking live on stage.
