Kathy Griffin attacked President Donald Trump on Twitter Friday, labeling the 2016 election the “funeral for our country.”

“It was a funeral for our country. F**k Trump,” the 57-year-old comedian tweeted to her millions of followers.

The comment came in response to a tweet from a White House correspondent who wrote, “There’s so much in President Trump’s latest gaggle with reporters, including that he refers to the 2016 election as Hillary Clinton’s funeral: ‘I call it Hillary Clinton’s funeral. That was the night she lost the election. It was a funeral. It was a wake.'”

A short time earlier,  Griffin called out reporters, tweeting that “it’s way overdue for reporters in the United States to acknowledge” that Trump is a “bad guy,” comparing how the press refers to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

“A friend brought this up with me … when reporters talk about Kim Jong Un, they don’t say ‘critics say Kim Jong Un.’ They say, ‘Kim Jon Un is a bad guy.’ It’s way overdue for reporters in the United States to acknowledge the same about Trump, it’s not biased … it’s a fact.”

On Friday, the comedian also appeared on The Hill program “Rising” and said it was totally “worth it” for all the backlash she got over the photo of her holding a bloody severed head of “Trump.”

Believe it or not, the picture that almost took me down is the picture that allowed me to tour globally for the first time,” Griffin shared. “I mean, I played in Reykjavik, Iceland. I sold out the Sydney Opera House. I sold out the London Palladium. You know, I played in Helsinki, of all places.”

“I went everywhere. So now I’m known as the crazy red-haired lady who took that picture everywhere … and, believe it or not, at first, America was in shock and awe, but overseas, they’re used to that imagery with Der Spiegel, Charlie Hebdo.”
