Sarah Sanders was asked about Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear: Trump In The White House.” The book quotes anonymous sources retelling stories from inside the White House for chaos and backstabbing among staff.

A reporter said he assumed Sanders read the book and then asked if the administration could give the press a “list of all the things in the book that are wrong.” Sanders bluntly said, “I think that would be a complete and utter waste of our time,” in response to the question.

The reporter pressed on, calling Woodward a respected member of the press corps and asking how Trump can win a “credibility battle” with him.

“I would take the actual on-record account from people who are here working in the building, interacting with the president day in and day out like General Mattis and Kelly and myself, not disgruntled former employees who refuse to put their name on things when they come out and attack the president.”

Sanders continued, saying, “Those are far more credible sources and far more reliable voices within the administration that can accurately tell what is taking place in the building behind me.”

The reporter then asked if “the president is still a credible voice.”

Ms. Sanders said, “Absolutely,” and moved on.
