A Sunday robbery spree captured on surveillance video has authorities hunting for a man who violently attacked employees at two separate New York City stores.
The first attack, at Seward Park Liquors in Manhattan, occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday when the robber demanded money from the 41-year-old employee, according to Fox News. After the employee refused to hand over the cash, the attacker chased him with a liquor bottle and threw glass containers at him. The employee eventually escaped, at which point the thief reportedly was filmed stealing around $200 from the cash register.
Just two hours later the thief performed a similar robbery at Reno Fashion. This time, surveillance video shows him beating and punching an 88-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man who were working at the store. Police say the man was hit in the head with a large ceramic pot and glass jars.
Both employees are reportedly in serious but stable condition after suffering lacerations to the head.
