Former Super Bowl Champion and star wide receiver Joe Jurevicius was robbed at gunpoint at his home in Ohio this weekend.

The former Browns and Giants player and his wife were in their Gates Mills, Ohio, home when a suspicious person came to his door and held them up. (RELATED: POLICE RELEASE VIDEO OF NFL PLAYER GETTING TASED. IT’S BRUTAL [WATCH])

“We were just robbed at our house,” his wife told 911, according to local Cleveland station Fox 8. “Someone came to our back door and robbed us. It was my husband. He was at the back door. He opened the door. [The robber] said, ‘Give me all the money that you can.’”

Police believe the incident was perpetrated by a man who was just released from prison. Earlier this month, he is believed to have robbed a senior citizen in a similar manner.

But here’s the kicker: when asked for comment on the situation, Jurevicius only said, “I support the police department. I support the FBI. I support the American flag.”

Incredible. Not even a flinch there. The guy gets robbed and the only thing he can say is, ‘I love America.’

This man not only deserves his Super Bowl XXXVII ring but also the Medal Of Honor, a parade down the center of Cleveland and, like, a million bucks. He should probably also be formally recognized by the police and FBI that he so loves so much.

To double down and say you love our men and women in uniform and support the flag is what we’re all about here at the Smoke Room. As a matter of fact, I think it’s time we introduce a new coin into the US monetary system and it should absolutely have Joe Jurevicius’s face on it.
