“When I think back to a time in my early 20s, I remember that I felt so helpless that I questioned whether I wanted to live,” she writes via Radar Online.

“Everything had become a cage, and I was the animal trapped inside, panting for air,” Bündchen, now 38, revealed, adding she developed a heavy reliance on the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.

“Along with not knowing I was on a hamster wheel, I didn’t understand that I was also basically relying on stimulants and depressants to get me through the day,” she added.

“I was living 100 miles per hour, smoking, drinking, eating badly, not sleeping much and living pretty much out of a suitcase,” she writes. “It was intense! I was in transit all the time, either heading off or coming back from somewhere, which meant I never felt grounded or settled — or took the time to think about my life. It was just my life. And like a lot of people in their early 20s, I felt indestructible.”

I am excited to share that my book will be released October 2nd! Writing this book was a transformative and intense process for me. Uncovering stories deep inside of me made me feel vulnerable and emotional, but through facing my shadows and insecurities I learned how to accept and love myself in a deeper way. My intention in writing this book is to share how I overcame certain challenges in my life in hopes that it could help others who may be going thru similar experiences. Proceeds from the book will go to project Água Limpa, to help protect water sources for future generations. http://bit.ly/PreOrderLessons Feliz em compartilhar que meu livro sairá no dia 2 de outubro!
