Former Browns superstar Jim Brown has a bold prediction about the future of the Cleveland Browns this season.

The nine-time pro bowler and 1964 NFL champion revealed he was having second thoughts about his earlier prediction about Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. (RELATED: JIM BROWN IS NOT EXCITED THAT BAKER MAYFIELD GOT DRAFTED FIRST)

Back in April, Brown dubiously told TMZ he had “no comment” on the Browns first round draft pick. But the expression on his face made it pretty obvious that he was not in love with the idea of Baker Mayfield going to Cleveland. With Week 4 upon us, and an admittedly impressive 1–1–1 Browns record thus far, Brown seems to have changed his tune.

“He is a gunslinger, he can throw the ball, he’s got a great attitude, he’s young. I like everything about him,” he told TMZ reporters. “So let me just give credit where credit is due,” he said, adding, “They didn’t go with what everybody said, including myself. They went with what they thought was correct, and I really appreciate being able to say to them, ‘I guess you were right.'”

But his most surprising take is that he thinks the Browns can win the AFC North division.

“Absolutely,” he told TMZ.
