President Donald Trump has finally spoken about what he thought of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday. Trump told reporters at the White House that Ford seemed like “a very fine woman to me.”
“She looked like a very fine woman to me, very fine woman,” Trump said. “I thought that Brett’s testimony, likewise, was something that I haven’t seen before. It was incredible. It was an incredible moment, I think, in the history of our country.”
Trump said he thought Ford was “a very credible witness,” saying, “She was very good in many respects.”
Trump said ultimately he believed the process will work out.
“I think it will work out very well for the country. I just want it to work out well for the country. If that happens, I’m happy.”
When asked if he has thought about replacing Kavanaugh, Trump said “Not even a little bit. Not even a little bit.”
When asked about new potential delays in the process, Trump said he is “comfortable” with the senators working it out.
