CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said it was “garbage” for Donald Trump Jr. to harp on the “poor plight of white men” and to express fear about the fate of white men in America.

CNN’s “New Day” played a clip of Trump Jr. being interviewed by The Daily Mail Monday, where he said he was scared for his sons because of how easily men can be destroyed by baseless accusations.

“Every night I cry myself to sleep over the fate of white men in America. White men have no power, white men — I mean, it’s such garbage,” Toobin said Tuesday. (RELATED: Fairfield University Instructor On Race Relations: ‘Devote Some Time To The Problem That Is Whiteness’)

Toobin claimed anyone who sexually assaults someone as a teenager should have his or her life destroyed, no matter what the circumstances are.

“You know what, if you sexually assault someone in high school, your life should be ruined,” he said. “Your life should be pursued. The idea that this is somehow unjust — remember, this all started with accusations of sexual assault.”

“How about the lives of the women who were sexual assaulted in high school?” Toobin concluded. “How about 15-year-old Ms. Blasey? She wasn’t Ms. Blasey Ford in those days. How about her life? All this whining about the poor plight of white men is ridiculous.”
