Lindsey Graham may be one of the busiest men on Capitol Hill right now, but that’s not stopping him from trying to make things happen outside of the Beltway too.

The GOP senator from South Carolina is fully behind the idea of hosting a summit between President Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick, an idea first hatched by rapper Kanye West. (RELATED: Kanye West Has A Huge Plan For Colin Kaepernick, And It Involves Donald Trump)

“We never give up on anyone,” West told TMZ’s Harvey Levin on Monday, adding, “I’ve been calling Colin this morning, reaching him, so I can bring Colin to the White House. And we can remove that ‘sons of bitches’ statement. And we can be on the same page.”

And Graham seems to support this notion, telling TMZ reporters, “I want to watch football without feeling guilty about it.”

“Anything that will bring the country together,” an understandably desperate Graham added.

Both Sen. Graham and President Trump are pretty busy right now, so the meeting may have to wait. Trump’s Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh is currently under FBI investigation for alleged sexual assault, and Lindsey Graham offered a fiery speech at last week’s Senate Judiciary hearing, slamming the grave injustice of wrecking who he perceives to be an innocent man in the name of politics. Although, this is Trump’s White House, so squeezing in a seemingly impossible meeting is certainly a very real possibility.
