President Donald Trump jokingly said he loved a man — who said it to him first — during his rally in Southaven, Mississippi, on Tuesday night.

The president was talking about trade agreements with Japan and the European Union when a man shouted, “I love you.”

“I love you too. You’re not my type, but I love you too. That was a strong guy by the way because if that was a woman I’m in big trouble and you know what? I go — I hope you’re a guy.”

During the rally the president also refuted the claims made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He attacked Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who testified against Kavanaugh, and Julie Swetnick, the third woman who came forward. (President Trump Attacks NBC, Julie Swetnick Over Her Allegations Against Kavanaugh)

Trump was campaigning on behalf of Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith, who is running against Democrat Mike Epsy and another Republican, Chris McDaniel.
