White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders questioned the objectivity of New York Times magazine writer Emily Bazelon, who published a story a negative story about Kavanaugh Monday after denouncing him on Twitter.

“Democrats desperately attack Judge Kavanaugh for throwing ice during college. What motivated New York Times reporter to write this ridiculous story? Throwing ice 33 years ago, or her opinion of Judge Kavanaugh in July?” Sanders tweeted.

The tweet was directed at Bazelon, who denounced Kavanaugh back on the day he was nominated.

The Times reported that Kavanaugh was questioned by police for his participation in a bar fight back in 1985. He allegedly threw ice at another person.(RELATED: NYT: Kavanaugh Once Threw ICE On Some Guy At A Bar)

This story of the altercation recently resurfaced when one of the men at the alleged bar, Chad Ludington, wrote a statement to the New York Times on Monday. In it, he referenced the fight and he has since clarified and expanded upon his original remarks. (RELATED: Yale Student Says Kavanaugh Once Threw Beer In Someone’s Face, Started A Fight)
