Johnny Manziel seemed to think he needs to learn to be a little more patient in the pocket before tucking and running with some recent comments.

“That’s what I’m looking for more consistently. Going through every read, seeing things that aren’t there and then being able to take off. Rather than taking a three-step drop and thinking about taking off before getting through every progression,” the Montreal Alouettes quarterback told the media Wednesday following his best game ever in the CFL this past weekend. (RELATED: HERE’S HOW MANY NFL TEAMS ARE APPARENTLY STILL INTERESTED IN JOHNNY MANZIEL)

I actually agree with Manziel’s comments. I watched his game against Saskatchewan, and he looked very solid. It was without question his best game north of the border. However, it’s evident he does need to slow it down. This isn’t Texas A&M where he can just run all over the place and chuck it downfield.

There are only a handful of games for the Alouettes left this CFL season, and you can bet Manziel is going to start all of them if he’s healthy. With his steady improvement, I think there’s a very good chance Manziel gets another shot in the NFL.
