President Donald Trump mocked the Democrats who said they want to impeach Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his Tuesday night rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

“The Democrats are even talking about doing really bad things now to Justice Kavanaugh. You know what they’re talking about, and packing the courts with radical judges to overrule the will of the American people,” he began.

Trump continued, “It’s not going to happen, folks, not going to happen. Last week they’re saying, ‘we’ll impeach him.’ Impeach him for what, for what? Besides that, I have to go first, right? Even though we’ve done nothing wrong other than create one of the greatest economies in the history of the country.”

The president’s remarks come days after top House Democrat Jerrod Nadler told The New York Times that the House would conduct investigations into Kavanaugh’s nomination process if his party were to take control. (RELATED: Trump Condemns Talks Of Kavanaugh Impeachment)

Trump was asked about the Dems’ potential plan of impeaching Kavanaugh on Monday as well and he said, “Now they’re thinking about impeaching a brilliant jurist — a man that did nothing wrong, a man that was caught up in a hoax that was set up by the Democrats using the Democrats’ lawyers.”
