President Donald Trump mocked protestors paid for by liberal advocacy groups who disrupted confirmation proceedings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh in recent weeks in a Tuesday morning tweet.

Trump’s tweet appears to have been sparked by a Fox and Friends segment featuring reporting from Asra Nomani. “It’s not the individual protesters getting the money but it is the organizations that are running these protests,” Nomani explained, adding, “We have to acknowledge that this is propaganda. This is messaging. They are very skilled at it.”

Nomani detailed in The Wall Street Journal that “the number of Soros-backed partners has grown to at least 80. At least 20 of the largest groups that led the Saturday anti-Kavanaugh protests have been Open Society grantees.”
