The radical Left wants control over the lives of the American people and will sink to any depths to get it.

Realizing that the biggest obstacle between them and the chance to force their radical socialist ideology on the American people is the rule of law, the far left is now openly advocating mob rule in all its forms.

With the tacit approval of Democratic “leaders” like Hillary ClintonEric Holder and Maxine Waters, an angry mob of paid protesters and far-left extremists terrorized Washington for weeks during Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote.

They harassed and intimidated Senators and peaceful supporters of Kavanaugh alike, threatening to release the medical records of pro-Kavanaugh senators’ children and sending Senator Cory Gardener’s wife a beheading video. They dishonored the Supreme Court itself, storming its steps and banging on its doors while screeching slogans and threats.

Any respectable, responsible politician would be horrified by such behavior and condemn it out of hand. The leaders of the far left, however, are neither respectable nor responsible.

Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, the Lefts’ own modern-day Madame Defarge, not only refused to condemn the radical activists’ extremist tactics but actually endorsed them. When asked by Dana Bash on CNN if harassing Senators in restaurants and at their homes was “going too far,” Hirono defended the behavior, saying that people are “very much motivated by what is going on.”

But the Left and their mainstream media henchmen aren’t just defending the passions of the mob — they’re actively seeking to remove the political mechanisms that protect our country from those passions by promoting the creation of a direct democracy.

Echoing Hillary Clinton, far-left socialist and congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called recently for the elimination of the Electoral College. NBC “journalist” and loyal Democrat partisan Ken Dilanian tweeted that “the idea that North Dakota and New York get the same representation in the Senate has to change.” These people know nothing about our Constitution or its unique place in world history and in the pursuit of freedom.

Atlantic and GQ contributor Julia Ioffe got straight to the point. “We are a country where two presidents who both lost the popular vote have now placed four justices on the Supreme Court. Democracy in action,” she tweeted sarcastically.

But as a legion of better-informed and better-educated twitter users immediately reminded Miss Ioffe, the United States of America is not a direct democracy — and that’s the entire point.

The United States is a constitutional republic, and the Founding Fathers fought to ensure that the mob couldn’t undermine it. They instituted checks and balances and counter-majoritarian constitutional safeguards — not just on the branches of government, but on the people themselves — specifically so that a simple majority couldn’t dictate the direction of the entire country.

The Left loathes those protections when they block their far-left socialist agenda. The radicalized populace in liberal havens like California and New York seek to impose their socialist utopian ideology on those law-abiding, everyday Americans who live in what elite, coastal liberals derisively refer to as “flyover country.” The Left is now trying to weaponize that populace and give it the power to dictate how every American must live his or her life.

Nothing could be more contrary to American values than the mob-like mentality and socialist precepts pushed by the far left. They seek nothing less than the complete destruction of the basis on which America was founded.

On November 6, Americans have an opportunity to send a clear message to this new, extremist, and thoroughly anti-American tactics of the far left.

We must not let them hijack the Republic. We will not allow them to end the greatest experiment in self-governance in human history so they can force us to accept their pseudo-communism. They are playing with fire, and we cannot allow them to burn down our country in the process.

The Left’s flirtation with tyranny of the majority must stop — and on election day, American voters have the power to end it.
