YouTube, one of the world’s most popular websites, went down Tuesday night for about an hour for reasons not yet known.

“Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues,” Team YouTube wrote on Twitter Tuesday night. “We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.”

The video site was not loading for many users. Some visitors found a “500 Internal Server Error” notice, while others found “an empty template with grey boxes where video links should be,” reported the Vancouver Sun.

YouTube had not issued an official statement on the cause of the technical difficulties as of Tuesday evening.

Users were reporting the site was down as early at 9:17 p.m. EST, reported Heavy.com. The site was working again around 10:45 p.m.
