President Donald Trump’s campaign released a new ad Monday morning calling for Republican support in the 2020 midterm elections titled “We Can’t Go Back.”

The ad centers on a woman and her young daughter interspersed with flashbacks to TV coverage of a falling economy. The ad’s thrust emphasizes economic growth seen under the Trump administration and urges voters to vote Republican to continue such growth.

The video comes a little more than a week ahead of the 2018 midterm elections where polls indicate Republicans may lose control of the House of Representatives but could bolster their numbers in the U.S. Senate. Data specialist website FiveThirtyEight gives Republicans a 82.5 percent chance of keeping the Senate and 86.3 percent chance of losing the House.

The Trump campaign will spend 6 million dollars distributing the ad on television and targeted digital spots, campaign manager Brad Parscale told CNN Monday. “What this ad shows is things are getting better. We need to continue to vote Republican and to continue to move forward with the president’s agenda,” he noted.

Parscale noted that the ad was designed much like a launch for a commercial product saying, “you have to make people feel things. I think that’s what commercials are, from a commercial for a car, a phone or anything that might be, they want to do it.”
