Former Vice President Joe Biden joked about kindergarten girls being “too young to resist” during a rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Biden was at a campaign event for Democratic Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin when he started stumping for Tony Evers, the Democratic candidate for governor in Wisconsin.

Biden brought Evers’ wife, Kathy, up on stage and put his arm around her as he noted that the couple met when Kathy was in kindergarten.

“By the way, running for governor is a team sport! No way out,” Biden said. “He met Kathy in kindergarten. In kindergarten. She was too young to resist. She should’ve known better but she did it anyway.” (RELATED: New SecDef Can’t Even Defend His Wife From Joe Biden)

Biden did not explain what he meant by the joke, instead planting a kiss on Kathy’s forehead. The audience laughed and smiled along with Biden’s joke.
