Bad news for George Lopez.
The comedian and actor, 57, was charged with battery Thursday following an alleged skirmish he got into with a pro-Trump fan at a Hooters last month. (RELATED: George Lopez Jokes He’s Now ‘Trump’s Kind Of Guy’ After Hooters Altercation [VIDEO])
In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the original video:
In the video, the fan tries to taunt Lopez by making a few comments about POTUS. Lopez then allegedly grabs the fan by the back of his neck and roughs him up, apparently triggered at the mention of Trump.
“On the count of three, say Make America Great Again,” the fan purportedly said to Lopez as they snapped a photo together.
But that little dust up is landing him in more trouble than he may have first suspected because authorities reportedly hunted him down and charged him with battery and gave him a court order summons for the misdemeanor. Police say he was cooperative.
