Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II isn’t too worried about when superstar running back Le’Veon Bell will return.

“I have to start by saying I don’t know what his plans are, but I would say that at this point, we expect him to come back next week,” Rooney said during an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio Thursday night.

If I were Rooney, I wouldn’t even care about Bell coming back. James Conner has been balling out on the field. He has 10 touchdowns so far this season. That’s impressive as hell.

Let Bell’s little holdout continue for as long as he wants. The Steelers have been winning just fine without him. Do they really need another distraction? I don’t think so. (RELATED: Pittsburgh Steelers Superstar Reportedly Makes Decision If He Will Return To The Team)

Even when Bell returns, there’s no way you can take Conner off of the field. You just can’t do it. He’s playing far too well to relegate him to the bench just because Le’Veon Bell has now decided he wants to return to playing football.

Let Conner keep playing football and getting the reps. Let Bell watch from the sidelines until things change. It’s really that simple in my opinion.
