Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is not expected to play a single snap this season.

Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Bell is not expected to show up and report to the team by the Tuesday deadline. He also reported he will have to make over $40 million the next two seasons to make up for lost earnings for sitting out the season.

What an absolute disaster of a situation for the Steelers. How did it ever come to this point? All we’ve heard was that Bell would eventually return and play this season. We heard it over and over again. Well, that clearly is not the case. Bell wants his cash, the Steelers aren’t going to give it to him and now we’re here. (RELATED: Pittsburgh Steelers Superstar Reportedly Makes Decision If He Will Return To The Team)

Bell and the people around him better know what the hell they are doing because this has gone off the rails. What was supposed to be a situation resolved after a few games has now gone completely insane. He’s going to sit out the whole year! Are you kidding me?

I wouldn’t have bet on this outcome at all. Think about all the fantasy owners that picked him in the first or second round of their drafts. I’m not going to say Bell owes them all an individual apology, but I’m not going to rule it out either.

Wasting a high pick on a guy who doesn’t take a single snap would piss me off badly.

Again, I really hope Bell gets his money. Otherwise, this will go down as one of the worst mistakes in recent NFL memory.
