Ingraham Laughs In DNC Reform Commissioner’s Face Leading To Heated Back-And-Forth Over Ocasio-Cortez, Democratic Party
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham laughed at the DNC reform commissioner on her show Tuesday night for saying incoming Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s participation in a climate change protest in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office shows a united party.
Ingraham had Harmeet Dhillon, the Republican National Committee committeewoman of California, and Nomiki Konst, the Democratic National Committee reform commissioner, on her show to discuss Ocasio-Cortez’s attendance in the protest. The debate got heated when the host laughed at what Konst said.
When asked of Ocasio-Cortez’s participation in the demonstration in Nancy Pelosi’s office, Knost responded, “I don’t think that House Democrats are necessarily divided. I think we are going through a very natural transition. What she did in Nancy Pelosi’s office was actually a sign of a strong party. We have a new generation.”
Ingraham immediately bursted out laughing.
Knost added, “I’m sorry who just got their butts kicked? The Republicans. You are laughing. This is how democracy works. Our party likes debate, our believes in free speech, our party is grassroots.”
“How many pro-life senators? Name the pro-life senators in your rank,” Ingraham retorted.
“That’s a Republican issue. We believe in, —” Knost fired back.

“It’s a human rights issue, thank you very much. The babies don’t count, we know that in your party,” the host responded.
Knost continued, “Human beings don’t count in your party. As soon as their born, you forget about them.”
The tense conversation then eased up a little as Ingraham repeated her question in a different way, but Knost would not back down from her point that this was a sign of a united party. (RELATED: Students Appear Hesitant To Donate To Ocasio-Cortez’s Apartment Search)
“I get it, I get it. You cannot sell sand in the desert, okay? You can’t sell this to me,” Ingraham added. “That this is a sign of unity when you see 200 climate change activists and Ocasio-Cortez gesticulating all over the office, people get arrested.”
