ESPN Has One Team As A Lock For The College Football Playoff, And It’s Not Alabama

Notre Dame apparently has the best odds to reach the college football playoff after finishing the regular season 12–0.

According to ESPN, the top four teams and their percentages are below:

  1. Notre Dame, >99%
  2. Clemson, 96%
  3. Alabama, 83%
  4. Ohio State, 48%

There are a couple things to take away here. First, Alabama fans must be furious that they’re not only not in the second spot, but they’re all the way down in third. Soak up in the tears, my friends. Soak em up. These salty Tide fans are going to be great to deal with if they actually don’t make it. That meltdown will be epic.

I’m also glad to see ESPN has at least enough sense to put Ohio State above Oklahoma because we all know they deserve to be in over the Sooners. That’s the easiest debate in the history of sports. The AP poll might not agree, but it’s 100-percent true. (RELATED: The Final AP College Football Of The Regular Season Is Here. Find Out Who Is Number One)

I just can’t wait for this conference championship weekend. It’s going to be awesome, and I just get the feeling one of these favorites is going down.

I’m not sure who it’ll be. My money is Oklahoma, but we’ll have to wait and see. Either way, we’re on the horizon of some great adrenaline and football.
