Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey probably regrets taking shots at Josh Allen after losing to the Bills 24-21 Sunday.

Ramsey tore into the rookie quarterback during the offseason. He told GQ in part:

I think [Buffalo Bills draft pick Josh] Allen is trash. I don’t care what nobody say. He’s trash. And it’s gonna show, too. That’s a stupid draft pick to me. We play them this year, and I’m excited as hell.

Well, that didn’t exactly hold up under examination. Allen wasn’t off the charts, but still got the win at the end of the day. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 11 Of The NFL Season)

To Ramsey’s credit, he did give some minor props to Allen after getting beat by the young gunslinger. He told ESPN, “He [Allen] did enough to get their team the win. I don’t really know the stats. I know he ran the ball really well. He hurt us with his feet. Passing, it didn’t really feel like a lot of opportunities. We have to watch the film. They did have one deep one on us early that hurt us in the first quarter.”

This situation right here is exactly why you don’t talk trash unless you’re a billion percent sure there’s no chance that it blows up in your face. Just don’t do it. The upside is extremely limited, and the downside is plentiful.

The Buffalo Bills are one of the worst teams in the league. They are a model for how dysfunction thrives in a franchise. Yet, they still were able to beat the Jaguars, despite Ramsey believing their quarterback is “trash.”

Next time, he should maybe think before running his mouth. That’ll stop him from getting embarrassed on a national platform.
