Abby D. Phillip, CNN White House correspondent.

CNN’s Acosta rubs it in Trump’s face that he can’t find a new White House COS

“Trump ‘super pissed’ he has to start Chief of Staff process all over again after Ayers bolted at last minute, we are told by sources.” — Jim Acosta, Chief White House correspondent, CNN.

WTF? Pub somehow gets cover byline wrong.

“Get yourself a copy of the @dcexaminer’s newest magazine for free on many a street corner in D.C. My article is on the cover, but under the wrong byline (whoops). ‘A THOUSAND CUTS–How ready is the president for torture by Pelosi and her chairmen?'” — Robert Donachie, reporter, The Washington Examiner.

Dan Bongino gets in a nasty tangle with The Daily Beast

Surprise. Surprise. Dan Bongino got in a fight with a couple of reporters from The Daily Beast. As usual, he acted like a giant baby. Big League Politics sided with Bongino. But The Daily Beast stood by its story that NRATV did not renew his show. Bongino claims it was his call.

Asawin Suebsaeng, The Daily Beast: “The Daily Beast had never heard he declined a generous offer of any kind, so Dan is (shocking!) splitting hairs here and calling a completely accurate story (Read. It.) ‘fake news’ because why not?”

Dan Bongino: “Fake news ‘reporter’ writes I was ‘droppe’” after his fake news co-author texts me saying he heard ‘I DIDN’T RENEW,’ and now he’s desperately trying to unwind his bullshit. These idiots dunk on themselves.”

Asawin Suebsaeng: “I am trying to unwind nothing. @lachlan and I stand by everything that was published in the story. There is only one person online tweeting about this story who sounds like they’re melting down.”

Dan Bongino: “This story is absolutely untrue and the ‘reporter’ knows it. He texted me on Friday, after hearing I DECLINED A GENEROUS RENEWAL OFFER, this ‘Heard you didn’t renew with NRATV.’ Yet, he lied & wrote I was “dropped” and liberal imbeciles immediately ran with it. This is fake news.”

Read Lachlan Markay‘s piece here. “New: NRATV is dropping Dan Bongino’s show, two sources familiar say,” he wrote on Twitter.

Bongino will be bitching about this on his podcast.

If you’ve forgotten… how hotheaded Bongino can get, watch this Politico video with Marc Caputo. It was in the summer of 2016, but it feels like it was just yesterday. Around that time, Bongino accused me of being a clown. He has since blocked me and a bunch of other journalists on Twitter.

“Who is Dan Bongino and why am I blocked from seeing his tweets?” — Ben Dreyfuss, editorial director, Mother Jones, on Monday.

HELP! Labor journo Mike Elk needs help with his taxes

“EMERGENCY – Need Help w/ Taxes to Get Health Insurance. Folks, I have some funding to get health insurance, but still haven’t been able to figure out my complex taxes. Without my tax forms, I can’t qualify for Obamacare subsidies. Can someone help me do this?” — Mike Elk, Payday Report, Guardian. In the News… At the end of October, Elk yelled in Washington Examiner reporter Salena Zito‘s face at a mass murder scene in Pittsburgh where 11 people died. He called her an anti-Semite.

Washington Examiner op-ed writer feels compelled to write about raw cookie dough

It can give you e-coli — but the writer says eat up, you probably won’t get it. Yum. Read here.

Correction: “CRTV” should have been “NRATV.” The above has been changed to reflect that error.
