The NFL is taking the draft to Las Vegas in 2020.
The news was announced late Wednesday, and I have to admit that this sounds like a great location. Fans of the league are all about a good time, plenty of beer, partying, women and so much more. I can’t really think of a place that offers so many options better than Las Vegas.
Historically, the draft has been in New York, but that chapter for the NFL has come to a close. It’ll be in Nashville in 2019, and then Sin City will get its shot. It’s also worth noting 2020 is the same year the Oakland Raiders will move to Vegas. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments Of Week 14 Of The NFL Season)

Honestly, I’m not sure why Roger Goodell and the other top people in the NFL wouldn’t want the draft in Vegas every year. It’s such a draw for tourists. Would you rather go to New York for two days or Vegas? It’s not even a hard option.
I know that I trash Goodell and the NFL on a pretty consistent basis, and I do that because it’s almost too easy to accomplish.
However, sometimes you just have to admit when somebody makes a good decision. Having the draft move to Vegas for at least one season is one of the best ideas the league has had in a very long time.
