It’s no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers are something of a drama factory.

Now that they’re officially in their offseason, it seems like all bets are off. But even when they were in season and allegedly vying for a shot at the Super Bowl, drama seemed to follow them around like stink on a pig. Remember: Le’Veon Bell didn’t play all year due to an apparent contract dispute. Big Ben blew the whole thing wide open when he called Bell — who hurt the Steelers this season —a “distraction.” Antonio Brown dared his Pittsburgh PR team to trade him on Twitter early in the season then started following a whole bunch of 49ers players.

Brown followed that up with a display for the ages last week when he reportedly got into it with either Mike Tomlin or Big Ben (perhaps both) and ended up storming out and asking why he hadn’t been traded yet. Oh yeah, and then Brown rode the bench during his final game against the Bengals on Sunday.

And now Big Ben is reportedly also not on speaking terms with Antonio (whose contract, awkwardly enough, isn’t up until 2022).

So, while all the bickering and back-and-forth goes on behind the scenes, another player spoke out about the drama this week with a comparison for the ages.

“Ah, man, we are … Kardashians. We have, I mean, we’re something,” tight end Jesse James told Penn Live. He continued:

It’s Le’Veon Bell issues; you have more stuff popping up weekly. Jeremy Fowler’s reporting stuff about Le’Veon every other week. There’s just people calling people out. We were in the front of the ticker on ESPN too much for, just, reasons that weren’t related to football and not for us playing great ball. It was more distractions.

We can’t exactly argue with that one. The only difference is that there are less hair extensions and high heels in the Steelers locker room than in the Kardashian household.

We’d be willing to bet there’s probably just as much spandex though.
