Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz had a heartfelt message late Sunday night after his team’s season came to an end.

The Eagles lost 20-14 to Drew Brees and company in the playoffs. Wentz hasn’t played a single snap in several weeks thanks to a lingering back injury, and Nick Foles had been running the show.

Still, the young QB showed love for his teammates after the heartbreaking loss. He tweeted, “Love this team to death #FlyEaglesFly.” (RELATED: Here Were The Best Moments From Wild Card Weekend In The NFL)

I can’t imagine how tough this situation must be for Wentz. He had to watch the Eagles go out there and play poorly for large stretches of the game Sunday night, and there wasn’t anything he could do about it.

That couldn’t have been fun at all. There’s not an athlete on the planet with a winning mentality that enjoys being on the sideline.

Now, the Eagles have a big decision to make. Do they keep riding with Foles or does Philly go back to Wentz once the young gunslinger is healthy?

That’s the question that will dominate all the offseason conversations in Philadelphia and around the NFL.

I have no idea what they’re going to do, and I’m not even sure the people running the Eagles do either at the moment.

Things are about to get interesting. There’s no doubt at all about that fact.
