Remember The ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Who Died Suddenly? Her Official Cause Of Death Has Been Released

Autopsy results are in for Cristy Caserta, the young “Bachelor” contestant who died suddenly in early October 2018.

Caserta, who appeared on the 15th season of “The Bachelor,” with Brad Womack, reportedly had an enlarged heart and an overactive thyroid, according to autopsy results obtained by TMZ(RELATED: ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Found Dead. The Details Are Horrifying)

You may recall: Cristy was taking classes in Sunrise, Florida, when she suddenly collapsed at her desk. Caserta suffered a massive seizure and was taken immediately to Westside Regional Medical Center. Caserta did not make it past the first week of ABC’s hit dating show but remained close to several of the contestants from her season.

“I’m absolutely heartbroken about Cristy,” Ashley Spivey, who also appeared on Season 15, told US Weekly. “She was one of the kindest people I met on the first night of the show and she continued to be an amazing friend. She was as smart and funny as she was beautiful. She will be deeply missed in this world.”

Caserta was just 38 years old.
