Rapper Future just can’t seem to stay out of the headlines when it comes to Ciara and Russell Wilson.

According to a TMZ report Tuesday morning, witnesses claim Future was supposed to perform at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party but didn’t once he realized that the NFL star quarterback and his wife would be in attendance. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

For those of you who might not know, Future and Ciara have a child together.

Of course, Future’s side is claiming he didn’t play the show because it would have needed to be “significantly” shortened, which the star rapper wasn’t okay with.

Now, we’ll probably never know the truth, but I’m heavily inclined to believe the first option over the second.

Musicians shorten acts all the time. That’s not a new thing at all. However, there’s a pretty well-documented beef between Future, Wilson and Ciara. I think it’s pretty safe to say the star rapper isn’t a big fan of the Seahawks hero and his wife. I think that’d be putting it lightly. It might have something to do with the fact Future has a child with Ciara, and then she went off and married Wilson. That might poison the well just a bit.

If I have to pick sides here, I’m 100-percent siding with Wilson. Sure, Future’s music can bang from time to time, but Wilson is one of the best athletes on the planet.

In any major beef, always choose the better athlete. This is day one stuff. Plus, Wilson is pretty good about not escalating things. He just goes out there on the field, wins football games and then comes back home to his smoking hot wife.

I think that’s a lifestyle pretty much every guy on the planet can get behind.
