The Baltimore Ravens have sent Michael Crabtree to the unemployment line.

The former Texas Tech star receiver was cut Monday, according to a late afternoon tweet from the team.

It should be interesting to see what Crabtree does from here after leaving the Ravens. He’s 31 years old, and we all know production from receivers tends to plummet once they hit 30. (RELATED: A Super Bowl Winning Quarterback Is Expected To Soon Be A Free Agent)

There could be a very really chance that the end of the road is in sight for the talented NFL player.

If that is the case, Crabtree should be just fine because he’s made more than $60 million over his decade-long career.

Crabtree was one of the best receivers in the game in college, and he’s had one hell of a run at the pro level. Will he sign on with another team? Only time will tell, but he’s already made enough money where he should be fine if he saved any of it at all.

It should be fun to see what he does down the stretch. I wouldn’t be surprised if he called it quits or if he tries to push it just a little further.
