Wisconsin basketball star Ethan Happ had some emotional thoughts about his upcoming senior night.

The college basketball phenom will play his final home game for the Badgers Thursday night against Iowa, and he doesn’t sound ready for the journey to end.

Happ said the following during a late Tuesday appearance on the Big Ten Network:

I’ve been putting off thinking about it for a while now, but, you know, I’ve been asked this question a lot now about my senior night and everything. I think I always come back to the experience that I’ve had over these five years was exactly what I wanted them to be. A blast, and I got so much out of them. So, I’m not leaving here with any regret. We’d like to win some more games here and there, but I’ve enjoyed my time to the fullest.

It sure is going to be sad to see him walk off the Kohl Center floor for the last time. Talk about a guy who gave his team everything he had to offer.

He’s been a major part of this team since his freshman year. Not many guys with his talent stick around for their entire time in college, and he did. He could have left at the end of his junior season. Instead, he came back to get Wisconsin back to the tournament. (RELATED: Ethan Happ Leads KenPom National Player Of The Year Rankings)

I can’t even begin to tell you the impact he’s had on Wisconsin basketball.

There aren’t too many guys that an entire program will surround and support without question. Happ is one of those guys.

Badgers fans will always show up and show out to support him. Again, it’s going to be an emotional night when he takes the floor for the last time at home tomorrow.
