Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long had a great response to criticism of his salary.

In response to a Saturday tweet about Long being the most overpaid athlete in Chicago, he clapped back with, “Shoutout my agent.”

The tweet blew up, and currently over 40,000 retweets and over 300,000 likes. That’s what we like to call going viral in the business.

For those of you wondering, Long is currently on a two-year deal worth more than $12 million with the Bears.

Is that a lot of money? Sure, but it’s hardly enough for people to worry about. Clearly, Long isn’t worried. He’s too busy cashing monster checks thanks to the people responsible for negotiating his deal. (RELATED: Former Chicago Bears Star Charles Tillman Joins The FBI)

Lots of athletes get really sensitive when they’re criticized. They don’t handle it well at all. I don’t know why, but they just don’t.

It’s never made sense to me at all. However, Long really does seem to have a good sense of humor about the whole thing.

Instead of hitting back super hard, he just cracked a joke about the skills of his agent. It doesn’t get much more relaxed than that.
