The New England Patriots are visiting quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Will Grier Wednesday.

Both men are in New England to meet with the organization, according to Ian Rapoport. It’s unclear what the meetings might consist of or if they’re working out for Bill Belichick.

Jones is a lock for the first round and Grier is likely a day two guy. Both could be being viewed as likely successors to Tom Brady. (RELATED: Twitter Reacts To Rob Gronkowski Retiring From The NFL)

If either man sits for a couple years developing under Brady’s tutelage, then they could be ready to step in when the six-time Super Bowl champion decides to officially retire.

Personally, I think Grier is an absolute gunslinger. He was so much fun to watch at West Virginia, and he throws a beautiful deep ball.

Add in the fact he’s got some athleticism, and I’d be giving him a very hard look. He balled out for the Mountaineers and could do insanely well with Belichick coaching him.

The “experts” might be all-in on Jones being the better player, but I find it hard to believe the organization is down with using a first round pick on a QB as long as they think Brady as a couple more years in him.

They should wait until the second round, snatch up Grier, let him develop under Brady and then see what happens.

The draft gets underway April 25, and it looks like the Patriots are ready to find the man to potentially slide in when Brady is done.

I’m all in on Grier playing for the Patriots. That would be awesome.
