Kyler Murray has officially met with the New York Giants.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Oklahoma Heisman winner visited the team Thursday afternoon.

Murray is believed to be a lock for the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, which means the Giants would need to trade up to get him. They’re currently slotted to pick at six. (RELATED: Kyler Murray Meets With The Arizona Cardinals)

I don’t see any situation unfolding where the electric dual-threat quarterback falls all the way to six.

Maybe there’s a situation where he doesn’t go one, but there’s no shot he falls to the Giants. That means they’re going to have to move if they want the young gunslinger.

There had also been reports that the Giants weren’t even interested in Murray because he’s a small guy. Clearly, they wouldn’t be wasting time bringing him in if they were totally out on him.

I don’t have anything against the Giants, but I just really want to see the Heisman winner tear it up with Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals or end up with Jon Gruden and the Raiders. Those two scenarios are by far and away the most entertaining options.

The Giants should just pull the trigger on Dwayne Haskins and be done with it. Let Murray flourish elsewhere.
