Director Michael Moore attacked white people and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi specifically on Monday, claiming that she was unable to “see the writing on the wall” and move over for the new guard.

“White people,” he tweeted, along with a video clip of Pelosi’s “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday. “Nobody likes giving up power. And they never see the writing on the wall. The new day arrives and no one has the heart to tell them they and their old tired privileged ways are over.” (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Claims ‘A Victory’ In The First 100 Days)

In the clip, Pelosi blew off the influence of more radical newcomers like Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar. Host Lesley Stahl asked Pelosi how she handled challenges from the very vocal far-left wing of the party, saying, “You have these wings … [Ocasio-Coretz] and her group on one side — ”

“That’s, like, five people,” Pelosi interrupted.

President Donald Trump appeared to agree with Moore in substance, arguing on Twitter Monday that Pelosi had lost control of her party — or, at the very least, of Omar.

“Before Nancy, who has lost all control of Congress and is getting nothing done, decides to defend her leader, Rep. Omar, she should look at the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and ungrateful U.S. HATE statements Omar has made. She is out of control, except for her control of Nancy!” Trump tweeted.
