If President Trump wants to MAGA, his potential Democratic contender Joe Biden wants to MAMA.

In other words, Trump wants to “make American great again” and Biden wants to “make American moral again,” as the former VP announced the news to ABC’s “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts Tuesday morning while flanked by his wife, Jill.

“Make America return to the essence of who we are … the dignity of the country … end this god-awful deliberate division,” he said.

At least for today, the pandering to women seems to be catching on.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski, who just went through six months of mindfulness therapy (I’m not kidding), fiercely defended Biden’s hugging and hair sniffing on Tuesday’s show.

Brzezinski put her foot down on the matter and said she would no longer engage in the conversation. So…she’ll remain silent while others around the table discuss it? “This once again is completely ridiculous and the rest of America thinks it’s ridiculous too,” she said. “I’m done. You guys can continue to talk about this. I won’t. I refuse to give it any more time.”

She shredded Biden accuser Lucy Flores, saying her claim of Biden touching her inappropriately was bogus. “There’s a woman who accuses him of smelling her hair,” she said. “He’s not interested in your hair, OK? He was going on stage, and he took a deep breath before he went on stage, and you took it deeply personally.”

Earlier in the month, Mika called Biden “extremely affectionate extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way.” You know, like a MOTHER.

Others in the MAMA club who have been hugged by Biden include CNN’s Michael Smerconish and Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart. In Capehart’s case, Biden touched his forehead to Capehart’s forehead. Capehart called it “intimate.” I’m not even sure what you call that kind of affection. Hilariously, he had to make sure MSNBC host Hallie Jackson understood that Biden hadn’t actually tried to kiss him.

Scarborough, who has been politically neutered since marrying Brzezinski, flashed a picture of Biden standing behind his son and said, “This is Joe Biden with my son, I don’t know if you can see it. But do you see what he is doing? Hand on the shoulders, whispering to him quietly, reassuring him. This is what Joe Biden does to kids. He’s learned his lesson. I’m sure he’s going to back away, but to suggest that there was something malicious in what he was doing or he was getting his kicks from doing that? Uh, sorry there’s about 45 years of public experience that suggests that’s not true.”

Even Fox News’s Tucker Carlson is on board — at least where the platonic hugging is concerned. During a recent show, Carlson defended Biden’s touchy-feely nature and admonished the accusers whining about the former veep’s habitual non-sexual touching.

“There is something sad — pathetic, really — about watching a 76-year-old man apologize for not understanding selfie culture,” Carlson said in an apology to Biden on his show. “You’d hope that your own golden years would be a little more dignified than that. But Biden is a politician, and he had no choice. They drove him to it — and so did we. And that is the point of the apology.”

He explained, “When the story first broke that Biden had been passing out Eskimo kisses and sniffing other people’s hair, it was irresistible. You couldn’t not laugh at it, and we heartily did. We mocked Joe Biden as a compulsive hugger, a cuddler run amok. It was too amusing.”

MSNBC commentator and author Sophia Nelson backed up Brzezinski’s remarks.

“The purists in the democratic party who keep attacking @JoeBiden and demanding an apology for hugging women are RIDICULOUS,” Nelson tweeted. “I am 100% with you @morningmika. I typed ridiculous before you just said it on air @MSNBC #MorningJoe.”

And finally, there’s ABC “The View’s Meghan McCain, who has said through tears and a cracked voice that Biden has been more help to her in the aftermath of losing her father, Sen. John McCain (D-Ariz.) than anyone. (RELATED: Meghan McCain Vows To Keep Hugging Biden)

One could say Biden has MAMA’ed her.
