President Donald Trump responded to the International Association of Fire Fighters’ (IAFF) endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden by retweeting dozens of firefighters who expressed outrage at the union’s decision.

The IAFF, a division of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), endorsed Biden for the 2020 presidential race in a video message on Monday.

The president of the group touted Biden’s support for middle and working class families and claimed that the Democrat is “a lot like our firefighters.” (RELATED: International Fire Fighters Association Endorses Biden)

Conservative commentator Dan Bongino challenged the endorsement on Twitter, asserting, “NONE of the Firemen I know are supporting Joe Biden for president.”

Bongino’s message prompted Twitter users who claimed to be firefighters to respond with their support for Trump.

“This fire family does NOT support Joe Biden for President,” Joelle Palumbo wrote.

“24 years plus firefighter here,& there’s no chance Biden is my choice,” Scott Bepler asserted.

The thread also prompted at least one troll account labeled “F*ck Donald Trump” to chime in, writing, “My husband, a New York City firefighter for 15 years, will be voting Trump 2020 all the way!!”

Trump quote-tweeted Bongino, stating, “I’ve done more for Firefighters than this dues-sucking union will ever do, and I get paid ZERO!”

The president went on to retweet nearly 60 people who claimed they or people they know are supporting him in 2020.
