Attorney General William Barr started off the day by not appearing for his previously scheduled testimony with House Democrats.

Though Barr had informed the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler of his intended absence, the House committee showed up anyway for a ‘mock’ trial. Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee showed up prepared to mock Barr with a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken and chicken props.

William Barr also announced that he would not turn over the un-redacted portion of the Mueller report, to whic Nadler announced he will subpoena the report, if necessary, and hold Barr in contempt of Congress.

In the brief 16-minute hearing this morning, Nadler said, “The average person is not free to ignore a congressional subpoena – and neither is the president.”

Barr refused to appear in front of the House Judiciary Committee after spending five hours in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday, also saying he objected to the format of the hearing. (RELATED: White House Slammed Mueller Report In Letter To Attorney General Barr)

Democrats remain determined that they need to see all aspects of the report, to draw their own conclusion on whether or not President Donald Trump obstructed justice.
