CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota referred to anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan as a member of the “far-right” during a Friday segment about Facebook’s recent ban on “dangerous” leaders.

Facebook announced Thursday that it was banning Farrakhan, Alex Jones, Laura Loomer, and Paul Joseph Watson from its platform, stating, “We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology. The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today.”

“Facebook is banning several far-right extremists from its services because it considers them dangerous,” Camerota said in a clip first flagged by Mediaite. “This includes the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.”

Camerota’s label comes after The Washington Post and The Atlantic updated articles about the Facebook ban after similarly describing Farrakhan as right-wing figure. (RELATED: WaPo, Atlantic Rush To Change Stories After Labeling Farrakhan ‘Far Right’)

Although Farrakhan holds some views that may be considered socially conservative, he has a long history of operating within the Democratic Party as he preached anti-Semitism. Farrakhan has had meetings with former President Barack Obama, former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Keith Ellison, and California Rep. Maxine Waters. He also attended Aretha Franklin’s funeral alongside former President Bill Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and Rev. Al Sharpton.
