Kerryon Johnson sounds very happy the Detroit Lions hired Darrell Bevell as the team’s new offensive coordinator.

The talented young running back said the following about the new OC, according to an MLive.com Friday morning:

I mean, that’s good news for me, but we’re a complete team. We’re trying to be a complete offense. We’re trying to be complete players. We understand we can’t run the ball 100% of the time, we can’t throw the ball 100% of the time. We’re going to be as balanced as possible, and score as many points (as we can).

I can’t wait to see what Bevell does with the Lions. Can’t wait at all. Remember when he helped take a team called the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory with Russell Wilson?

I remember. I remember very well, and I expect some of that magic to get brought to the Lions this season. The formula for success doesn’t need to be complicated. (RELATED: Russell Wilson Agrees To $140 Million Extension With The Seahawks, Gets $65 Million Signing Bonus)

Get Johnson going, open up the passing game and let Matthew Stafford air the ball out like it’s going out of style.

Stafford has notoriously had atrocious run games to support him in the offense. It’s embarrassing how bad they’ve been over the years.

The former Auburn star was a bright spot last season, and the Lions looked good before he was shut down for health reasons. We’re in for big things in 2019 if we can get back to where we were at during his best last season.

I can’t wait to see what the Lions do in 2019. I have a ton of optimism going forward and Bevell plays a big role in my high hopes.

Let’s get after it, Detroit!
