Odell Beckham Jr. might want to pump the brakes on his expectations for the Browns.

The electric receiver was shipped out to Cleveland from the Giants in the offseason, and it immediately set the league on fire. He is apparently under the belief they can be the next dynasty. (RELATED: New York Giants Trade Odell Beckham Jr. To The Cleveland Browns)

“I plan on being there for the next five years and trying to bring as many championships there as possible. Turning [the Browns] into the new Patriots,” Beckham told GQ in a piece published Monday.

Seriously, somebody needs to tell Beckham to relax a bit. It’s only May, he hasn’t played a single snap for the team, and he’s out here talking about becoming the next Patriots. Give me a break.

How about the Browns actually make the playoffs. Then, maybe then, we can have a conversation about being as great as the dynasty being led by Tom Brady.

It’s one thing to be confident. It’s an entirely different thing to think you’re going to turn the Browns into the Patriots.

Cleveland has been a joke of an organization for years. They’ve done literally nothing to make anybody believe they’re an elite team.

Sure, they’ve got some talent now with Baker Mayfield, Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb and Jarvis Landry, but they’re a long ways away from proving they belong with the big boys.

Let’s see if they can win some games first, and then we can discuss winning multiple Super Bowls. Until then, it means literally nothing.
