Rapper Cardi B has been sued for $1 million by a celebrity blogger who claims she received death threats because of things the rapper said about her on social media.
Blogger Latasha K claimed she had to move because of “gang-related threats” in court documents published Thursday by The Blast. The lawsuit comes two months after Cardi B sued Latasha K for defamation.
Cardi B, 26, sued the blogger in March for saying the rapper is a prostitute who has herpes. Latasha K claimed that Cardi B reached out to her and asked her to remove the video where the blogger accused Cardi B of being a prostitute. Latasha K invited Cardi B to do an interview with her, but the “Please Me” singer refused. The vlogger claims that shortly after “Cardi B began to publicly defame Ms. Kebe, referring to her as ‘this blogger lady, by stating that Ms. Kebe makes up fake stories; harasses all of Cardi B’s friends; constantly stalks Cardi B; falsely claims that she has legitimate sources giving her information about Cardi B; uses Cardi B’s name for ‘click bait’; and many other false accusations.”
The lawsuit adds to Cardi B’s ongoing legal trouble, as she is currently involved in a case for allegedly fighting with two bartenders at a Queens strip club.
