The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show might not be shown on broadcast television anymore.

The lingerie company is “rethinking” the fashion show, according to a memo sent to employees on Friday CNBC reported. L Brands CEO Les Wexner sent out the memo explaining that broadcast TV might not be the “right fit.”

“For the past few months, we’ve said that we are taking a fresh look at every aspect of our business — from merchandising, marketing and brand positioning, to our real estate portfolio, digital business and cost structure,” Wexner wrote. “Fashion is a business of change. We must evolve and change to grow. With that in mind, we have decided to rethink the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Going forward we don’t believe network television is the right fit,” he added.

The show has been broadcast on ABC and CBS for nearly 20 years, but has been suffering major drops in viewership. Last December the fashion show suffered the worst ratings in the show’s history.

Despite the terrible ratings, I think it’s un-American to take the show off of TV. The VS Fashion Show is iconic and the designs deserve to be seen by more than just the people who can afford to go to the show.

Hopefully they’ll decide to release the show on Netflix or some other streaming site so I can get my yearly dose of Victoria’s Secret beauty.
