Britney Spears is reportedly the latest to join the #FreeBritney movement after she went to court asking to be free from the conservatorship that her father, Jamie Spears, has held for more than 11 years, according to TMZ Monday.

According to the outlet:

Britney has done an about-face, now telling the judge her father, Jamie Spears, committed her to a mental health facility a month ago against her will and also forced her to take drugs. We’re also told Lynne Spears’ (Britney’s mom’s) lawyer echoed the allegation.

A judge in the case reportedly made no decision on the matter as of yet and has ordered an evaluation of the “Womanizer” hitmaker to determine the next step. Until that process is complete, there will reportedly be no change in the conservatorship status. (SLIDESHOW: 142 Times Josephine Skriver Barely Wore Anything)

Under the rules of the conservatorship, Spear’s father reportedly does not have the power to admit an adult into the facility against her will or make her take drugs against her will. The outlet reported that any place that would take an adult patient against their will would be committing a crime.(SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

It all comes following reports last week that the singer went back to court to file and was granted a restraining order against her ex-manager, Sam Lutfi, after he was allegedly harassing her and her family.

As previously reported, the “Oops! I Did It Again” singer recently completed a month-long stay at a mental health facility in Los Angeles after she reportedly had started to have trouble when the drugs she was taking to keep her stable were not working.
