Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have dropped thousands of dollars at strip clubs in New York and it’s all reportedly part of research for her stripper film “Hustlers.”
“Let me tell you something, we went to strip clubs,” the 43-year-old former New York Yankees slugger shared Monday during his appearance on “The Breakfast Club” per TMZ. “I was out in L.A. She’s in New York. She says, ‘Baby, I’m going to the strip club,'” Rodriguez shared. “I said, ‘WHOA!! I’ll be there on Thursday. We can go Thursday and Friday.'” (SLIDESHOW: 142 Times Josephine Skriver Barely Wore Anything)
“I mean, it’s part of due diligence, right? I said this is amazing,” he added. “You know Jen [Lopez] is so incredible. She read and read and read [about strippers] … I said, ‘Baby, stop reading and just ask me. I got the info.” (SLIDESHOW: 71 Times Samantha Hoopes Stripped Down)
“We sat down with the girls, and we were just literally interrogating them, asking them questions,” the MLB star shared. “Then, we would hit ’em up with $400 or $500, $600. Thanks for your time and move on to the next.”
“We weren’t there for dancing, we were literally there for work,” he added.

At one point, he also reflected back on how he practiced proposing to the 49-year-old singer back in March with the help of his assistant Ashley and how he wanted the “sunset to be perfect” for the big event.
“I wanted the moment to be a nice moment, a memorable moment,” A-Rod shared. “And as many times as I can fumble and screw things up I just was hoping that I didn’t screw it up this time.”
As previously reported, the two got engaged earlier this year when he got down on one knee and proposed to Lopez during a trip to the Bahamas.
