Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak had an awesome goal Thursday night in a game four 4-0 elimination victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Pastrnak redirected a pass from Brad Marchand into the back of the net in epic fashion. The goalie literally had no chance.

It looked like Marchand was going to shoot his shot right up until the moment he fired off the pass for the goal.

Watch the awesome video below.

It really doesn’t get much sexier than that in the NHL when it comes to scoring goals. I don’t think your average person understands just how hard a play like that is to pull off.

You’re talking about multiple pro hockey players moving at lightning speed and anticipating the shot or the pass. (RELATED: San Jose Sharks Beat The St. Louis Blues On Awful Hand Pass No-Call In Overtime)

When Marchand set up Pastrnak with the assist, he didn’t even hesitate to put it in the back of the net. That takes some unreal timing.

The Bruins will now play the winner of the Sharks/Blues series, which San Jose currently leads 2-1.

That series won’t be over until Sunday at the earliest. It could go as far as next Thursday. The Bruins are in for a nice little break over the next few days.

Then, it’s back to the ice for a shot at the Stanley Cup. You can’t ask for much more than that in this beautiful sport we call hockey.
